Braised Pork Shoulder Bahn Mi Sandwiches with Pickled Vegetables and Spicy Aioli

What you need

ciabatta bread

tsp honey

lime juice

tbsp sriracha

cup mayonnaise

daikon radish

cucumber

carrot

tbsp fish sauce

cup rice vinegar

tbsp light-brown sugar

tsp paprika

tsp smoked paprika

tsp garlic powder

tsp onion powder

tsp ground black pepper

tsp salt
lb pork shoulder roast
Instructions
Julienne carrots and cucumbers and thinly slice purple daikon radish; marinate in water, rice vinegar, sugar and salt for a few hours or overnight; 2. Add pork shoulder to a Dutch oven and pour a mixture of water, rice vinegar and fish sauce over then sprinkle the seasonings on all sides; cover and roast at 350 F for about 4 hours or until fork tender; 3. Shred the meat and remove the fat; pour some of the drippings over the meat and pop in the oven for 10 mins to caramelize the edges; 4. To make the aioli- mix all ingredients above; 5. Assemble sandwiches by slathering spicy aioli on the bread, add plenty of shredded pork and pickled veggies, oh and some cilantro leaves and enjoy!View original recipe
