cup brown sugar

Instructions
1: Chop and sauté your bacon over medium heat for about 10 minutes until cooked but still chewy. 2: Remove bacon and place it over a paper towel. 3: Sauté onions in the remaining bacon fat over medium heat for 7 minutes. 4: Add the beer, water, sugar, and thyme and simmer for 5 minutes. 5: Add the bacon back and simmer for another 7 minutes or until caramelized. 6: Crack some fresh black pepper over it. 7: Serve warmed up or at room temperature, either on burgers or with crostini and cheese.View original recipe
