What you need
lb ground beef

eggplant

cup tomato sauce
cup mozzarella
cup ricotta

cup water

cup red wine
tsp salt

black pepper

basil leaves
Instructions
1: Slice eggplant, salt on both sides and place on paper towels to get the moisture out; brush olive oil and sear until golden and set aside. 2: To the same pan add ground beef and brown it; add wine and let it cook halfway down; add tomato sauce, water and basil and mix to combine. 3: Preheat oven to 400F. 4: Place a spoonful of the sauce on the bottom of your baking dish, followed by eggplants, more meat sauce, ricotta and mozzarella to create three layers. 5: Bake until bubbly for about 30 minutes, finish with basil leaves and dig into this cheesy goodness!View original recipe
