Bulgarian Moussaka

A nostalgic dish of Bulgarian Moussaka that my children love, always asking for seconds. This hearty casserole features layers of ground beef and potatoes, topped with a creamy mixture of yogurt and cheese.

What you need
lb purple potatoes

carrot

yellow onion

tbsp olive oil

tbsp tomato paste

cup water
tsp salt

tsp black pepper

tbsp parsley

cup yogurt

egg nog
cup shredded mozzarella
tsp salt

tsp black pepper

tbsp parsley
cup flour

tsp baking soda
Instructions
1: Preheat oven to 400°F. 2: Chop carrots and onions and sauté in olive oil until softened, stir in tomato paste and sauté ground beef until browned; season with salt and pepper. 3: Chop and add potatoes, parsley and cover with water and bake for about 40 minutes. 4: To make the topping, mix all topping ingredients and spread it on top with a spoon. 5: Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden; finish with parsley and enjoy!View original recipe
